Background

We currently have lots of spams on the old platform which should preferably not be transferred back to the new platform.

We have the following options for migrating data from the old platform:

  • Migrate all: which means importing everything on the old platform no matter if it is spam or not!
  • Selective migration of data: we can select specific data and only import those data to the new platform.
    • we need a mechanism to cleanup data first and only import the not-spam content.
    • One other option here would be to only import a few core/complete decks and users. We can then send an email to all the users on the old platform to re-register on the new platform. They might be able to see a list of their decks and if confirmed, we import only those selected decks to the new platform.
