IssueInput box issues
Description

Users experience difficulties with managing and editing the input boxes for slide content. This includes:

  • changing the order of overlapping input boxes
  • changing the size of input boxes (partially input box issue, partially UI that locks the size ratio of images)
  • grouping input boxes together e.g. for diagrams

In addition, users reported bugs that some time they lost the controls for input boxes (SWIK ) and the controls displayed on the slide content (SWIK??

ActionKlaas: New version 4.6 on http://ckeditor.com/ seems to allow for proper image resize.  We now use version 4.5.11


IssueCSS and styling of slide content
Description

The styling applied by the default could not be altered sufficiently or was not appropriate. In particular:

  • heading are styled as capital letters
  • bullets and lists are centre justified
  • sub-scripts and super-scripts are too large

IssueFeatures missing or difficult within CKeditor
Description

Users reported that they were:

  • unable to alter the format of bullets and numbered lists. It is possible to change the shape and numbering of lists but it is difficult to find this function as it is only available through right-clicking in the list. It is not possible to change the colour of numbers or bullets
  • unable change the style of headings
  • symbols missing, in particular the Greek alphabet
  • limited and confusing UI for altering image properties
  • colour and font size boxes do not reflect the current settings

ActionFYI - new version of CKEditor in development and may address some of these issues.
Klaas: Indeed the new version 4.6 on http://ckeditor.com/ looks good. We now use version 4.5.11. Seems to allow for proper image resize. Perhaps I can alsotry experimentign with using the CKeditor toolbar (standard/default, see, as opposed to the current use of the inline editor (which cases some problems).
