To aid with visualising the functionality of the SlideWiki platform, we have created a series of mockups of the main pages. Some of these are based on the prototype that is in development. These mock-ups are designed to aid discussion and development of user stories and to develop design concepts.
The core functionality of SlideWiki could be delivered through 6 types of pages:
- Home Page
Here the user will be able to access decks and to the sign-in. User who wish to add a deck will be first prompted to sign-in/up - User Profile page
The user will be able to see the statistics, their own decks etc - Deck listing page
The user will be able to see a listing of decks. This could be accessed through a search, a filtered list (e.g. popular or related content) etc.
A similar page is also used to list activity information such as Notifications. - Deck View page
The user can view a slide deck and edit it if they have permission - External views
This view is for viewing content in format outside of SlideWiki e.g. as a slideshow, printing or exporting - Modal window
For intermediary actions such as signing in, print option or uploading a file.
A walkthrough of these pages has been created in PowerPoint and PDF to give an idea of how these pages could link together (although not all the hyperlinks work in the PDF version). Hyperlinks within the file allow:
- select the SW logo will return to Home page
- select the sign in button will take you to the user profile page
- select the Add deck button will take you to the upload deck page
- select on a heading above a list of decks will take you to the deck listing page
- select a deck card will take you to the slide view page. Select the Edit tab will show the edit tools, select the double right arrow will show the deck tree.
